Meet Scott Winslow, GBICS’ Executive Director

Scott Winslow has been appointed the new GBICS Executive Director, according to Charles Gingo, chair of the GBICS Board of Trustees. Winslow will replace Sue Andrews, the current Executive Director, who retired at the end of January.
A long-time resident of North Bennington, Winslow brings a wealth of experience and a familiarity with GBICS to his new role. He is a former member of the GBICS Board of Trustees and served as the first paid coordinator of the Kitchen Cupboard. He worked for many years in accounting and financial services management at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and Mack Molding. Winslow holds a B.S. degree in agriculture from Cornell University and a B.S. degree in accounting from Southern Vermont College.
In a statement, Scott Winslow said:
“GBICS’ integrated vision of food security, nutrition, health care, education, economic development, and enfranchisement of all community members aligns beautifully with my own interests. My background in agriculture, my experience in finance, especially in SVMC‘s medical practices, and my history with GBICS are a perfect fit for the Executive Director role. The GBICS staff is incredible and the Board is engaged. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
In discussing the new appointment, Gingo said:
We are thrilled at the prospect of working with Scott and look forward to his continuing the fine work that GBICS has accomplished. Scott’s organizational, financial, and community relations skills will further strengthen the GBICS mission in the community.
Scott Winslow, GBICS Director, began working on February 3.
