3 Super Simple Snacks Even Picky Eaters Love

Guacamole

Guacamole in a bowl with a tortilla chipIngredients:

4 avocados
1/2 cup red onion, chopped
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 medium tomato, diced
3 tbs lime or lemon juice
Salt & pepper to taste
*Optional: add a dash of hot sauce or minced chilies or a quarter teaspoon of chili powder or cumin.

Directions:

Pit and mash avocados to desired consistency

Mix all ingredients together and enjoy with tortilla chips, crackers, veggies, or on a sandwich.

Fruit skewers with yogurt dip

Skewers of fruit on a platterIngredients:

3 types of fruit (for example, pineapple, grapes, and strawberries)
Vanilla yogurt
Honey or maple syrup (to taste)
Dash of lime juice
Cinnamon

Directions:

Thread 3 types of fruit onto a skewer.

Mix together vanilla yogurt, honey or maple syrup, a dash of lime juice, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Kale chips

Baked kale chips in a bowlIngredients:

1 bunch of kale
Olive Oil
Salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a pan with parchment paper.

With a knife, carefully remove the leaves of a bunch of kale from the thick stems and tear into bite-sized pieces. Wash and dry kale (salad spinner works well).

Drizzle kale with olive oil and sprinkle with salt or seasoned salt.

Bake until edges are brown but not burnt, 10-15 minutes.
